Arthritis?!?!?Well I don't know if I have arthritis and I wanted to know a few questions When you have arthritis does it make EVERY joint of your body hurt? What can cause arthitis? What exactly is arthritis? Can you stop arthitis? What are ALL the ways you can get rid of arthritis young or old?

Arthritis?I have had a problem with my wrist now off and on for about 3 years. I've been to the drs, have had x-rays and nerve tests. All lead to nothing they say. No fratures, no arthritis, no carpel tunnel, no tedonitis, nothing. I've taken everything for the pain. Nothing has ever worked, not heat, not ice, nothing. I do alot of crocheting so the hand is acting up again, I took Tylenol Arthritis and no pain!!!! So is it possible that I could have Arthritis and not be properly diagnosed? Can it sometimes not be detected?

Arthritis???What is arthritis? What problems can a person face if he is suffering from arthritis? How do you know that you have arthritis?

Arthritis!?I was diagnosed with mild arthritis last year. But since the past three days, my fingers have become so brittle that i can not type, turn a door knob, mix rice, and also my index finger is slightly deformed. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, but all i wanted to ask was, can this get better? or will it remain this way for the rest of my life? I'm very scared cuz i'm only 24. I heard arthritis doesnt have a cure, or does it? I did take advil but it did not do much and the pain is still there. I'm really disappoined because this is very handicapping.

Arthritis?At what age do people normally begin developing arthritis? I ask this because lately I've been getting these odd pains in my fingers and wrist on my right hand. I'm only 15 but I love to crack my bones alot such as my neck, knuckles, wrists, etc. Could I have arthritis???

Arthritis?Stiffness in my fingers especially on my right hand, natural position of right fingers more and more bent not straight. My grnadmother had arthritis, both her hands were bent, unable to straighten her fingers. I'm only 31. Have been doing a lot of physical work recently, DIY and gardening. Am worried, could this be arthritis? Left hand ok this morning, but right hand really stiff. I welcome your genuine serious comments and advice. I add that there is absolutely no swelling, no warm sensation, just stiffness. Also, that my finders are stiff especially first thing in the morning and late in the evening. During the day it passes. Thanks for the seriousness of your replies, as often yahoo answers are just for points. The physical work that I've been doing had put pressure on my hands, and I'm not used to this. It's also using machines that have a drilling, pumping sensations or pressure tools. I am afraid of doctors and never take medication except for extreme things when I have no choice.

Arthritis?I have had a really bad right knee since I was about 11 , I have spent about 11 weeks in hospital having intense hydro and physic therapy everyday a couple of years ago, the hospital have never found out what is wrong with my knee but it is very common in teenagers. Now I have arthritis in it , so my question is I know there isn’t a cure for arthritis but is there anything I can do to ease the pain apart from baths and light exercise? [ I know its probably a stupid question but I was just wondering ] Thanks =) - I just realised i spelt "phisic" instead of physio lol!

Arthritis!?I have been diagnosed with arthritis last month but haven't been told yet what kind it is, since i'm still going through tests. First it was in my fingers and now its very painful in knees, wrists , elbows and ankles. I have trouble doing simple things like typing and walking. I'm prescribed with Prednisone, and i've been taking them for a week but there's no benefits yet. How long after would the effects show? I'm also taking omega 3. My question is, is it possible that i become healthy and be able to run and do things like i did, or does the arthritis get worse with age? Is there anyone out there who had their symptoms gone completely? If yes, then with what?

Arthritis?Hello I have a 12 and a half year old daughter. A few months ago she told me she was having some pain in her hip and she thought the pain was coming from her bone. Now 3 months later she is complaing of moderatly bad hip pain and pain in her femur and just before her knee. I was having a look at her leg and pushed in the side of her hip joint and she yelled in pain saying it was tender. She walks funny with her sore legs foot pointed out and walks as if she had a limp although she says the doesnt notice she does this. She says she has lost about a kilo over the festive season. She says that the pain is fairly bad when she just sitting down and resting especially in the morning and at night. She has an inflamed and mucusy esophogus due to reflux complications and I read somewhere that arthritis causes digestive tract inflamations? Does anyone know what causes such bad bone pain in a teenager? Please tell me if you know. Shes booked into a doctor.

Arthritis?my nan has fibromyalgia arthritis which effects the muscles and connective tissues but i was just wondering if anyone has tried using glucosamine sulphate with this condition? as that helps with connective tissues...i thought it may give my nan a boost? what do you think? thanks x

Arthritis!?Hi, I have a lot of health problems including Moebius Syndrome. Some of my symptoms overlap which makes diagnosis difficult! I have an appointment with a Rheumatologist on the 28th and would like to know two things. 1. Can you have Rheumatoid AND Osteo arthritis together? and 2. I have a million Q's but which ones are the basic one to start with?? Thank you!!

Arthritis...?i have Juvenile Rheumatory Arthritis. and im 14. i had posted something like this before and only received 2 answers. which, both were really not that helpful. =/ i am going to the doctor soon, but for right now, what can i do???? cause it hurts like crazy! i heard something a while ago that if you put a bar of soap on it then that can help too. OH, by the way, i have it in both of my knees since i was about 2. so can somebody tell me of a treatment that can help me tonight? Thank you guys so much! i just went out to the store with my mom and we bought some ibuprofen for the pain and we bought some white rice. its on my right knee right now. and its weird, cause most of the time its my left knee thats bothering me, but tonight its my right one. idk. but thank you guys so much! and i really cant pick a best answer because they all were great. thanks! <33

Arthritis??hello. im a 14yr old boy who suffers from joint pain, usually inthe knees or mostly in the ankles, associated with exercise. there is no inflammation and the joints are not sensitive to touch. what could it be?!?! im very scared.

Arthritis?I am 15 yrs old, ive always loved sport & running. But since the start of the 7 weeks holidays (mid-july), i havent really been exercising much. We had PE yesterday and we were doing running, we didnt run much only for a couple of mintues. Afterwards both of my legs, just above myknees were aching. They are still the same, now.. do you think i have pulled a muscle or could i have arthritus? :S

Arthritis..?My Mum keeps getting shooting pains up the right side of her neck this gives her bad headaches, makes her dizzy & her eye on the right side goes blurred & in her words wobbly. The Doctor just keeps telling her to take the tablets & co-codamol. I have told her to ask for a C.T scan, she can afford to pay for it, but i do not know if this will reveal anything because at the end of the day i am only guessing.

Arthritis!?I know somebody that works at a pizza, and they work the dishwasher. Their hands are in water all the time, and they cant rub them hard or make a fist without it hurting. Do you guys know anything they can do to make the pain weaker or eliminate it? Thanks for all the help.

I was diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis.I have had the disease since I was 11.At first,I can't walk.After 2years,I was recover from it and since then,I have been healthy.However when I had checkup,I was diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis again. I want to know how I can get rid of this disease. I don't want to take many medicines with harmful side effects. I prefer avoiding foods that are bad for rheumatoid arthritis and taking foods that are good for the disease. And I am very willing to do exercises and sports instead of taking drugs. Which sports are suitable for rheumatoid arthritis?

Arthritis at 19?I'm 19, almost 20 years old, and I have developed aching pain in my joints of my toes. I used to crack them all the time (for like 18 years) and now they are slightly curled under and ache all the time, especially when it rains or is really cold outside. Arthritis is prevalent in my family, my mother was diagnosed in her mid-thirties, but suffered from pain long before that, as was my grandmother. Is it possible that I could have arthritis already?

Arthritis pain?i have rheumetoid arthritis. my doctor just a few days ago took me off my anti inflamitories because they were messing with my stomach. the pain medication i'm on i can only take at night because it makes me tired. i am waiting for a call from my ruehmetolgist to figure out what she can put me on. i havn't taken any medication for my arthritis since last night. advil and tylenol don't work...is there anything anyone can reccomend for pain in the mean time that might at least help a little??

Arthritis care for dogs other than rimadyl?8 yo lab with arthritis. on rimadyl for 6-7 weeks. slight change. thinking of trying drs. fosters and smith joint care supplement. any thoughts on dogs with arthritis and managing it so they can take daily walks again? she can only make it 5 houses on the street and then turn around becasue her hind leg are stiff by that point.

My friend is suffering from arthritis.?My friend is suffering from Arthritis . We have consulted with 3-4 doctors but still we are confused about the arthritis type she has. Some doctors says that she has Rheumatoid arthritis and some says Osteoarthritis . Symtons are : She has gained weight . Before she was 40kgs and now she is 70 kgs. She has swelling all over the body. She feel warmth and sweat some time. Already i have gone through many web sites but still need some info if anyone have the same problem. Please suggest what can be done and what type of arthritis she has? Any response is highly awaited.

Dog Arthritis?Okay This is a very in dept question: My dog 6 months ago was told that this she is starting to show arthritis (she is 13 years old) and I know that this is part of growing old and I have taken all the necessary steps for this (she's currently on anti-inflamatory mediciation, she gets regular blood test, and x-ray check ups throughout the year, as well as having a diet and nutrition that caters to her senior adult life). However I feel that @ a point and time it may be inhuman to keep her in pain years from now and I was wondering if anyone has experience in this matter (actual experience or in depth knowledge with dog arthritis and if you haven't please don't respond). I am doing all I can to keep her comfortable. Has anyone been put in a position of having to put their dog to sleep because the arthritis? If so how far along was the arthritis? Yeah you didn't say anything NEW or DIFFERENT than what I already know that VETS told me. Did you even read my post because you just repeated basically everything I said in the post. She's on anti-inflammatory which they give dogs for arthritis.

Cat arthritis medication reccomendations?My 15 y/o cat has been showing signs of arthritis. After doing research, she definitely shows many signs of it - limping, loss of muscle mass, stiffness, reluctance to jump/go down stairs, inactive, etc. I've really been wishing I could do something for her, and looked at some cat arthritis meds on the dr fosters smith website, but there are a lot of options. Was wondering if anyone could recommend a brand that has worked well for their cat? Based on the arthritis "stages" the website lists, I think my cat is somewhere between medium and severe arthritis (?). Also, do heated cat beds really help?

Reactive arthritis?I have finally been diagnosed with reactive arthritis, although all my symptoms are of rheumatoid, including that i have slightly 3 deformed fingers. Anyhow, my specialist said its not rheumatoid which is a relief. I'm on prednisone (every other day) and neproxyn. The damage to my joints is still happening though!! Heard reactive arthritis goes away on its own but does it have any cure you can suggest? Is there anyone here with reactive arthritis? What are you doing about it? Once when someone is diagnosed with it, do they live with arthritis forever even if the symptoms are gone?
